Year 1: January 28 - February 10, 2024

Application Due Date: September 1, 2023

The Immaculate Conception Center, in partnership with Franciscan University of Steubenville, is offering a three-year intensive training program for individuals who feel called to serve as Spiritual Directors.  We invite you to prayerfully consider joining our program to begin accompanying brothers and sisters in Christ on their journey with our Lord.

Through class presentations, personal prayer, reflection with sacred Scripture, retreats, a supervised practicum, and other formation practices, students will grow in self-knowledge and awareness of God's presence in their lives.  They will develop tools to help directees move forward in their spiritual journey and achieve greater intimacy with God.  Students will also receive training in the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola.

The certification program is a three-year commitment. Upon completion students will be certified by the Franciscan University of Steubenville to offer individual spiritual direction through affiliating with a parish, a retreat center, a Newman Center, or a ministry sponsored by a religious order or church organization.
